Speaker: Gina Rodda, Gabel Energy
Join us as we discuss where the next energy code (2019 code) is in terms of development and adoption (adoption scheduled to happen in May of 2018). We will review some of the major changes being proposed and how they may affect the industry for both residential and nonresidential/commercial buildings. In California, the Energy Code is required to be updated every three years and be more energy efficient while also meeting state goals to be Zero Net Energy (ZNE) by certain target dates. This code cycle has aggressive energy efficiency measures to enable California to meet those state goals. Be prepared! Some of the changes being developed have major impacts to design, cost, and building practices that can be more costly to the construction industry if not prepared.
This Brown Bag includes access to a recording of the webinar as usual, plus a downloadable PDF handout attachment.
