CEA Status explanations:
Active-Current: a certification that is active for the most current code cycle. (e.g., someone who is currently certified for 2019) Subject to annual maintenance fees and 9 CEUs after the initial year.
Active–Past: their most current active certification if it is not for the most current code cycle. (e.g., someone who is currently certified for 2016) Subject to maintenance fees and 9 CEUs after the initial year.
Updated: their previous-cycle certification. (always accompanied by an Active-Current certification) Not subject to maintenance fees or CEUs.
Only Active-Current,Active-Past and Updated certificates are listed in this search. Once achieved, the status of a CEA accreditation is also displayed on each user’s individual public profile (accessible from the CABEC Member search page, or by Googling for non-Members), including Inactive certificates.
