This project funded by SCE is an optimization energy modeling project that found the optimal feature package for each climate zone under three scenarios: just-meets-code, lowest annual costs, and lowest Carbon emissions. We did it for 1-story, 2-story, and an 8-unit multifamily building. Fact sheets are useful for energy consultants to understand what features might be useful in a given climate zone and how best to build ZNE or ZNC. Just-meets-code and ZNE packages are cost-effective, so that the most cost savings and energy savings features are selected.
